Article 22 of the Quality Management and Consumer Product Safety Act
In this scheme, it is compulsory for manufacturers or importers to
sell or import consumer products;
they have to attach the KC
mark to the products after making sure that they meet the safety
requirements according to the safety and quality indication criteria.
Duty of checking the safety requirements
When it comes to manufacturers or importers who carry out the safety- and quality-related indication, they have to check whether the safety- and quality related indication is carried out according to the criteria for the safety- and quality-related indication through their own tests or tests conducted by a third party before shipping textile products or clearing the products through customs by taking into consideration a wide possibility of harmful materials existing in the products.
