Geosynthetics

Geotextiles are made based on water-permeable materials and used together with soil, rock, and materials that contain soil. Because they can be constructed easily and help save construction costs, they are used widely for construction and civil works, such as reinforced soil retaining walls, soft ground, river levee, dams, tunnels, airports, roads, ports, and waste landfill.
KATRI is designated as an institute that specializes in carrying out quality inspection (Ministry of Construction & Transportation 2013-15) and has carried out tests comprehensively regarding geosynthetics that are used for construction and civil works.

- Coir/Jute-net
  
  Material, weight, dimension (inner diameter), tensile strength, and water absorption rate
- Geomat
  
  Material, weight, tensile strength, tensile elongation, seam strength, permeability coefficient, and specific gravity
- Geonet
  
  Weight, weight, thickness, density, tensile strength, carbon black content, horizontal / vertical permeability coefficient, and pill strength
- Geomembrane
  
  Thickness, density, tear strength, punching strength, absorptiveness, dimension stability, flow index, carbon black content, and low temperature resistance
- Geogrid
  
  Material, weight, carbon content, mesh size, tensile strength, elongation rate, tensile strength when elongated for 2% and 5%, and junction strength
- Silt prevention
  
  Material, weight, tensile strength, tensile elongation, seam strength, tear strength, coefficient permeability, and shrinkage rate.
- Drain board
  
  Material, compression strength, type, weight, thickness, tensile strength, and permeability coefficient
- Menard cylinder drain method
  
  Material, outer diameter, inner diameter, weight, permeability coefficient, and thickness
