GB tests of China
What is GB
GB is an abbreviation for Guó Jiā Biāo Zhǔn, which means a national standard in Chinese, similar with the case of the Korean Industrial Standards. Established by the government of China, the standard should be followed across the nation, is enforced for all applicable items, and is treated at the same status of laws.
GB 18401 tests
GB 18401 (National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products) is a national standard established according to <Standardization Law of the People’s Republic of China> and <Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China>. It is a compulsory standard that is designed to ensure safety and quality regarding all types of textile products that are produced, imported, and sold in China. In China, the standard suggests basic technical requirements regarding safety. Products are selected and inspected when necessary to prevent defective products from being distributed and to manage the quality of textile products.
KATRI–BWJS cooperation agreement and reception and issuance of GB test reports
In a cooperation agreement with Beijing Wool Jute & Silk Fabrics Quality Supervision Laboratory, which is a government-authorized test institute, KATRI receives application for tests for the GB standard and issues test reports accordingly, helping proactively companies launch in the markets in China.
