What is CPSIA (the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act)?>
In 2008, the United States Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and makes the Consumer Product Safety Committee (CPSC) establish various rules and regulations in details regarding products for kids, aging 12 years old or younger. When it comes to the products that are to be distributed in America, the manufacturers, importers, and wholesalers or
retailers are required to validate the safety and harmfulness of them in advance before distributing them.
For the purpose of validation, test institutes of the USA or a 3rd party accredited laboratory in other country should be
designated for the relevant certification.
